Our awesome and original hot glass designer and artist, Gerry Reilly has developed a strikingly vivid range of handblown art glass designs from the Melting Pot Glass Studio in Margaret River WA, which he has owned and operated for the past 35 years, until his recent retirement from commercial hot glass production at the beginning of 2026, choosing to take time out to consider his pathway forward as artist/craftsperson. Photos of Gerry Reilly Glass Designs from his 45 years creating in hot glass can be viewed on the website in our gallery.
Open by appointment, he and his partner Margot Edwards evolved the business from a public demonstration studio/main street gallery to a smaller home-based studio, which now has a primary focus on offering experiential hot glass workshops run by their son, glass artist Ned Reilly.
You’ll never forget the experience of spending half an hour or more with Ned, as he involves you in the process of making your own stemless glass and shares stories of glass techniques, creativity and art glass history in answer to your fascination.
Your kids can also experience the fun of ‘blowing’ their own colourful bauble in front of their eyes!

We acknowledged and respect their age-old care and management of their country, their continuing culture and intrinsic knowledge.
